The Lord said to Joshua, “Don’t be afraid of them, for I ‘ve handed them over to you”. Not one of them will be able to stand against you.” The Lord said to Gideon, “I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and will give the Midianites into your hands; so let all the other people go, each man to his home.” – In other words, don’t be afraid, I’ve handed them over to you. In many stories of battle in the Bible the people would seek the Lord before a battle. The Lord would tell them if they should go forward in victory or if they should not. He would let them know if they would have victory before the battle even began. This gave them courage for the fight ahead. The people didn’t sit back and celebrate, they prepared for battle and fought with confidence.

The Lord says, “I’ve given them into your hand”, but there is a battle we have to fight. Throughout our lives battles will come, troubles will come, but don’t be afraid, do not worry. The Lord says, I am telling you these things so that you will not fret. I am here with you through it all and you will have the victory, You will be triumphant. By the time this is all over, you will be better off than you were before it began. Stay with me, Stick by my side and I will lead you through this. As the shepherd leads the sheep by the still waters so I will do for you. Praise the Lord, Sing a new song, Rejoice and be glad – For the victory will be yours. Don’t be afraid, I’ve handed them over to you. Go get your Victory!
